In A Nutshell

I'm Dave and I've worked with Red Evolution as a web designer and developer since 2010.

My main role is working closely with our clients to develop websites which suit all of their requirements. I really enjoy taking a static web design and watching it change everyday as I code it up into a fully interactive website. When required though, I do enjoy expanding my skills into some of the other areas of the business.

Background

I have had a couple of short term contract IT jobs but discovered that really wasn't what I wanted to get into as it just felt a bit repetitive at times and didn't offer much of a chance for creativity. After spending a lot of time looking for a job once I had graduated, I was lucky enough to come across a vacancy at Red Evolution and the rest is history.

Qualifications

I graduated in 2009 from The Robert Gordon University with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) in Computing for Internet and Multimedia.

When I'm Not At Work

When I'm away from the office I like to chill out with my family. I also like to relax with a good film at the cinema, going out for a walk with the dogs in the local countryside and listening to music. I really enjoy live music and try to get to as many gigs as possible. I also enjoy participating in a bit of light 'stress relief' by target shooting at my local rifle club where I actively participate in national competitions. To fill in the rest of my free time I'm a member of a local amateur dramatics club.

1 Favourite film?

I, Robot.

2 Favourite band?

Can I pick a top 5 in no particular order? No? Well, if you're going to twist my arm, I would probably have to say Stereophonics.

3 Perfect meal?

Mince, mashed tatties and peas. The simple things are always the best!

4 Pets?

We've got a Cockapoo called Lockie.

5 Happiest when?

At a gig or out walking in the middle of nowhere with the family.
